Jianshui, Yunnan: a barren mountain transformed into a “beautiful mountain”

Since 2013, Jianshui County of the Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province has focused on the long-term planning of urban development, and scientifically managed the barren mountains with more than 4000 mu of trees in the north of the city, making it become the beautiful Longyao Ecological City of Jianshui County. Locals affectionately call it "Jianshui Xiushan".

In recent years, the governments at all levels of Jianshui County have strengthened the rectification and governance of the ecological environment and human settlements around the county seat. The construction of urban and rural human settlements has been beautified and the people have gained a sense of happiness.

The middle part of the picture is the landscape that did not grow trees, so it remains as a new landscape.

Five relatively large ecological lakes have been built in the ecological city, with green plants distributed around each lake and beautiful environment.

The living environment on the edge of the ecological city is like living in a painting.

In the distance is the purple pottery museum built in the ecological city. Jianshui is the capital of purple pottery in China. Jianshui purple pottery is one of the four famous ceramics in China. The part like an island in the middle is the preservation of the original landform, and the soil is the multicolored soil for making Jianshui purple pottery. In fact, one of the biggest effects of the construction of eco-city is also to protect the natural resources of Five-color Soil.
