The project is divided into east and west sections. The main line is about 989 kilometers long and the connecting line is 440.4 kilometers long. The general section of the main line adopts the design standard of Class III highway, with the subgrade width of 9.5 meters, two-way two-lane, and the design speed of 30 km/h or 40 km/h; The general section of the connecting line adopts the design standard of Class III highway, with the subgrade width of 7.5 meters or 9.5 meters, two-way two-lane, design speed of 40 kilometers/hour, and asphalt concrete pavement. The estimated investment of the project is 16.35 billion yuan. At present, the construction of Hainan Island Tour Highway (Eastern Section) is accelerating and is expected to be completed by the end of June 2023.
